Common questions
Is Summit Coach free?
Yes. At launch there are no subscriptions or in-app purchases. Core coaching features are free.
Does my data leave my iPhone?
Core coaching is designed to run on-device with Apple Foundation Models. Apple Health data is used on your device for personalization and is not uploaded by the app to our servers. See the full Privacy Policy.
Why do I need Apple Intelligence / a supported device?
Full AI coaching features use on-device Apple Foundation Models. On devices or system versions where models aren’t available, the app falls back to limited offline guidance. Keep iOS updated and ensure Apple Intelligence is enabled where required.
Health permissions
Summit Coach can read activity, workouts, sleep, energy, weight, and nutrition-related data you allow, and can optionally write workouts and nutrition you log. Manage access anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Summit Coach.
Meal photos
Photo meal estimates run on-device when you choose a photo or take one. Estimates are approximate — you can edit calories and macros before saving.
Reset or delete my data
In the app, open Settings → Privacy & Safety and use Reset All Data if available. You can also delete the app to remove its local storage on that device. Data previously saved to Apple Health remains in Health until you remove it there.
App Store / TestFlight issues
If you can’t install or update, confirm you’re signed into the correct Apple ID, have a compatible iOS version, and enough storage. For TestFlight builds, make sure your invite email matches the Apple ID on the device.
